Put a 3500rpm stall in the c-6, and a manual valve body, if your hell bent on a auto. I prefer a stick in my mud trucks, but thats just me.

网页2012年9月10日 · I run second gear always. I would think with 38 in a drag pit u would grab 3 rd. Im gonna go 5.13 so i can grab 3rd. Im on the red line in second a ways before then end but not enough hp to grab 3 rd. I hit 2nd within 20ft and 3rd by 100ft with 39's and a 400 horse small block, 4.10's, low range, shifting at 6500rpm.

I personally prefer detroit and all 4 pulling. im running a d60 up front in my f250,lincoln locked with a lockrite in the rear,sterling 10.25....been deep in mud and dont have an issue...lock outs in the front...definately lock the front.

Whats More Efficient in the Mud.. SBC or BBC? - Pirate 4x4
网页2005年2月17日 · Lots of power on and offroad. I think the SBC is good for 36" tires or smaller in the mud. Don't forget, in certain mud, when your tires start to 'gum up' it's nice to have that BB torque to get you going again. Overall I got 9mpg with the SBC, and now I get 8 mpg (10-11mpg hwy) with the BBC, but lots more power.
High horsepower, High stall torque converters for mud
网页2009年11月22日 · I'm curious what brand torque converters everyone is running for the mud. I've got to buy a new converter to go with the bbc engine i'm putting in my truck. The guy that built the engine said it is about 550 hp and needs a 3500 to 4000 stall converter. I will be running a th400 transmission if it matters. Anyone have any reccomendations.

网页2010年12月19日 · Whichever will get you in more classes. the tractor tires will weigh alot more then the boggers, heavy tires are the biggest horse power killer. I say get some pro cut boggers. A 18.4x16.1 american farmer on aluminum wheel is about 30 pounds lighter than a cut 44 inch bogger on an aluminum wheel.
