2009年7月30日 · I grew up there and know the fishing holes well. First, check out the ponds in The Crossings. Lots of bass, nothing huge, but plenty of 3 pounders to be had there. Also, off of Old 53, towards Lake Cook rd, there are plenty of ponds located right off of the golf course (Hillcrest) that are killer for bass.

I've fished the lake a bunch, sounds like you have too. Yup, shallow weedy lake, feet upon feet of sediment. We had a bad winter kill a few years ago.
