Horse Grooming (to wear gloves or not to wear gloves)
2013年10月26日 · I always wore gloves while grooming my horses (at the previous equestrian facilities where I used to ride), but, at my current equestrian facility (where they teach great natural horsemanship), they advised me not to wear any gloves while brushing, grooming, cleaning hooves, etc...because the horse has to feel your natural touch, etc....
horse won't hold still to be groomed! help please!
2015年11月5日 · My 2 cents worth - The metal curry comb is for cleaning the dandy and body brushes of hair while grooming, it is not actually for grooming the horse. Use the body brush, and brush firmly. Horses can find it really annoying to be 'tickled' with a brush. Start with the neck and work back as far as you can. And try and cover more area each day.

2017年6月14日 · If I have to bathe though, I just use hot water and cover them up solid in fleece afterwards until they are dry. You can always run a hose from your kitchen/bathroom/laundry room sink out a door or window if you don't have hot water in the barn. Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead . It's called a counter canter...

2007年5月10日 · Finally, it could simply be that he is showing affection to you or trying to groom you in return. When horses groom eachother they will often start around the girth - stifle area and it could just be that he thought you were grooming him when you were putting his saddle on. Dave. PS - It could also just be a horsey quirk.

shop vac grooming - The Horse Forum
2017年8月30日 · 4837 posts · Joined 2010. #1 · Aug 30, 2017. Years ago a trainer I knew used a shop vac for grooming horses, wet and dry. His shop vac was tied to a corner post in the stall size wash rack with a very long hose. Wet they used it to squegee (sp?) and dry for regular grooming.
