Is the Cadillac XLR the Worst Modern Corvette Ever Made?
WEBMay 5, 2020 · I grew up with grand uncles and grandfathers owning ’70s, ’80s, and 2000s Caddys. And I currently own my grandfather’s last new car, the fantastic 2013 Cadillac ATS-4 3.6. I love the swooping fins of the classics and the sharp angular lines of the last twenty or so years. And I think the Cadillac XLR is an absolutely gorgeous roadster.

Rear windows coming apart from their tops. Seems to only affect a handful of early models. I havent seen any posts on it since the the XLR hit the market a couple years ago.

WEBJan 8, 2020 · The XLR is a vehicle that requires extensive knowledge and specialized diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair. If you want to take care of the car yourself, you'll need to invest in a set of shop manuals and a Tech 2 at a minimum. Some modules require a Tech 2 to be programmed to the car.

A good general rule of thumb for Cadillac pricing is 50% off after four years; this is an eight year-old vehicle, and the seller is asking way too much. This is standard now, but 18 years ago, it was a novel concept. Multiple modules all linked together by functional priority.
