Poodle hair grows at around a centimetre/half inch a month, although the rate varies from dog to dog. It is a good idea to have puppies groomed little and often, to get them used to the process.

I've had both a small Silver mini Fannie who was 12" tall and 15lbs and and oversized silver beige toy Baby who was 13" tall and 10lbs she was a twig of a dog. I should mention that my Flower is my mini mini 10" tall in her prime was 10 lbs was out of two mini parents.

Walk it around the clinic, let it sniff other dog butts, the staff give it treats, then it's back out to the car with you. It's free. The idea is to make the vet a good assocation to puppy.
