水原華城離首爾市中心大概1小時車程，是水原市的名勝。華城是當時的離宮，所以有很多大自然的景色。要慢慢行完華城，至少要三小時。當年風靡全球的韓劇「大長今」也是在這裡取景的！如果想休閒地過一日又想親親大自然的人，華城是不二之選啊。 ligoodgoodjoyce的完整评论

想到水原你第一個會想到什麼,是這里有名的水原華城又或者是象徵水原市的八達門,不過對我來說,水原的城郭大慨是我來水原的主要原因,水原華城或許是來到水原的遊客會去到的地方,但我想多少來到韓國看過很多類似的宮殿,每每都覺得看多總是分不清,還有估計就是看得多了,所以感覺都沒有第一次來得那麼新奇. 所以這回再次來到水原一樣去到了民俗村和水原華城走走,享受一種秋季才有的閒情還有一望水原城的視野,雖然不到真… sky490的完整评论

You DO need to buy a ticket in contradiction to Kalmec's suggestion that it is free. It is a very small amount, only W1,000. You could dodge payment if you wanted to, but why? …

You DO need to buy a ticket in contradiction to Kalmec's suggestion that it is free. It is a very small amount, only W1,000. You could dodge payment if you wanted to, but why? There is also an combined ticket with the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress itself, Hwaseong Haenggung Palace and Suwon Hwaseong Museum for W3,500. You can easily do all 3 on a day trip from Seoul. Check the tourist office in Suwon (left out of train station) and they will provide with details for the bus you need from the train station plus a map. 100% recommended as a great day out!

Assuming that you will take train to Suwon station..and then a bus or cab to hwaseong fortress which is approx 5 km from Suwon station. The perimeter of wall of fortress takes …

Assuming that you will take train to Suwon station..and then a bus or cab to hwaseong fortress which is approx 5 km from Suwon station. The perimeter of wall of fortress takes approx 2 hr to walk and has 4 main gates. There is also a bus to give a tour around the wall. Hope this helps.

It never closes, only the attractions around it (ie 5PM). Best time I like to visit was late afternoon, early evening to see lights displaying wall in certain areas.
